  • The Labor Code governs the employment relationship legislation in Slovakia.

  • Two types of contracts exist in Slovakia as per the Labour Code. They are definite and indefinite contracts. The Labour Law is more aligned towards the definite contract period.
  • A new employee is entitled to a probationary period of three months. The period may extend up to six months for certain managerial positions.
