While essential benefits like health insurance, pension (or end-of-service benefits), and paid time off remain top priorities for employees, there is a rising emphasis on wider perks to attract and retain top personnel. In 2020, the emphasis will be on implementing a larger variety of benefits such as employee welfare, inclusion and diversity, and increased flexibility and choice.

According to the Middle East Willis Towers Watson 2019 – 2020 Benefit Trends Survey, the most effective organizations prioritize improving core and wider benefits. In fact, this was prioritized by 74% of organizations in this category.

Increasing the effectiveness of analytics, tools, and technology

Benefits strategies are concentrating on the use of analytics to understand employee behavior and requirements as firms move toward digital transformation.

According to the Willis Towers Watson 2019 Middle East Benefit Trends Survey, 88 percent of highly productive organizations utilize analytics to identify employee wants and requirements.
